Wow. How did we do it? When did we do it?
Being a mother is such a tough gig.
It deserves a special day.
A picture perfect day, in May, when the flowers are beginning to bloom, the birds are chirping and the sun is shining brightly with an oh so lovely springtime breeze.
Every mom I know is different. Each has her own ups and downs to cope with. For some, I am amazed at what they have withstood, it is more than I can imagine. But that is just it-
They cope. Maybe they don't want to, maybe they don't choose to. But we moms are built to survive. Born to pick up those pieces, and carry on with life - smiling, hugging, helping and loving along the way.
Mothers deserve a special day.
I get it now.
To all the wonderful, strong, creative, happy, loving mothers that I know. This is your day. Enjoy!

As usual Patty, you know just what to say. Thanks for sending these beautiful thoughts. This day will never be the same for me, but as you can only do you have made it more special. You and your family mean so much to us. We may not be the best at showing it, but we will always be so greatful for having you and your family in our lives.

Pati,
You are very gifted with words and I nodded along as I read those words. What an amazing job and my girls are much better at appreciating me now that they are a bit older.
Thanks for your insights.
